A new era of the AV Shield kicks off on Saturday, 7 October. In round one, White and Blue zones will run program 2 together at the Bill Sewart Athletic Track in Burwood East. On the program are the 100m, 400m, 1500m, sprint hurdles, walks, discus, javelin, long jump and pole vault.

Alternatively, Red and Yellow zones will conduct program 1 at Doncaster, whilst the country venues will conduct program 2.
